Affiliate Project X - No Hype, Just An Honest Review by Simon Hillier
I get annoyed reading so called reviews of affiliate and internet marketing
products. You never know if the person behind them is being sincere, or even
hiding behind a pseudonym. All I want to know is if the product can really make
you money, or if it is a scam, yesterdays news, the same old same old, etc. Is
that too much to ask?
Therefore, in my review of
Affiliate ProjectX
, I'm including my real name and business details. That way you can track me
down if you ever want to abuse me (or thank me!), and be sure I'm not just
another obscure testimonial from "never heard of it" USA. To anyone reading
this from nowhere USA, no offence intended!
For the record I'm not some affiliate guru. My background is in marketing and
copywriting for major e-commerce and bricks n' mortar brands. I am a relatively
new affiliate marketing wannabe, but like many others, I've been interested for
long enough to have suffered my share of burns, confusion, and frustrations on
the rocky journey to seeking the simple truth about making money online.
I am sceptical about "get rich quick" products, but every now and again, I do
succumb to the "what if?" sound whispering from my sub-conscious. And then
usually regret it after finding the same old information rehashed to padding
out some new e-book.
Anyway, despite my waning enthusiasm and growing scepticism for the whole thing,
I actually purchased Affiliate Project X. The
sales letter
tempted me initially and then the things I was reading about the money being
made peaked my interest. Of course, we've heard those stories before, so I was
very relieved to discover that this product is, in fact, the real deal. By that
I mean, it actually does show confused and frustrated people like me how to
make real money in affiliate marketing.
I should mention that while Affiliate Project X has been written for both
newbies and those with experience, it helps if you have a basic understanding
of affiliate marketing. I guess the ideal candidates are people like me - those
who have been doing a bit of research on affiliate marketing, buying a few
products, but still itching for a product to come along that explains how
experienced affiliate marketers make their money in plain English, so we can
have a serious try.
To give you a bit of an idea of what to expect, Affiliate Project X is a
guidebook of super affiliate tactics that had not been revealed before. Chris,
the English guy behind the project, has put together a clear step-by-step guide
to understanding and implementing each of the six strategies.
At the risk of sounding like a marketing nerd, I was so thrilled to finally
have something that offered real value and clear instructions on how to make
money through affiliate marketing, I actually finished the whole thing in one
sitting, while I was supposed to be doing a job for a client.
The style is definitely easy to read and, while the author obviously isn't
doing this just because he's a nice guy, he seems a lot more concerned with
helping you understand each step than the guys I've purchased from in the past.
As for the tactics, they include:
The Leech
Let's just say the method is much more attractive than the name suggests! It's
a technique you can set up very quickly. The author shows you how he used this
method to set up one his own campaigns and earn $5000 in August 2006 alone.
Using this example, he shows you how to find the best products to promote, and
how to write your own campaign.
The Affiliate Diary
This is a method specifically using a list or email database. For many people
the idea of building a list can be quite daunting. It's nowhere nearly as
difficult as you might expect and all the steps are described in detail.
The Workhorse
He calls this one the 'foolproof method'. While it's fairly repetative work,
but it's easy, and can earn you anywhere from $50 -$200+ per day. The guide
includes a lot of detailed information to get you set up and going. Once in
place, you sit back and watch the money accumulate for a while...then do it all
over again. This is the one I've spent most time on and made some nice returns.
Thief in the Night
This is one method that has met with a lot of flack from the so called
super-affiliates...because this time, you are the one stealing from them! Well
not actually stealing, more like a Big Brother surveillence. It's ridiculously
simple when you follow the instructions. To test it out, I did a very quick
search and found 445 affiliates promoting one product.
Copy the Best - Part 2
This is a spin off from his book Adword Miracle, which I hadn't read at the
time of purchasing Affiliate Project X. This method teaches you how to make
money by only promoting the highest converting keywords, and also how not to
lose money on clicks. Don't worry if Adwords scares you, or sounds too hard.
Only some methods in the book involve Adwords to generate traffic, and even
then, they are only part of the process. Follow the steps properly and this
should start bringing in $100 per day withing the space of a month.
The Opportunist
In a nutshell, this is a clever way to spot a product on the up at the right
time. He shows how to find the most likely products to make money as an
affiliate, and what to do with it once you find it.
In addition there is a section titled Advanced Tricks and Underrated Promotion
Methods, a collection of more advance affiliate marketing methods such as Link
Cloaking (shh) and Tracking Affiliate Sales and several others to help you grow
your online marketing busines and have a massive advantage over other
affiliates.
As for the big question, will Affiliate Project X make you mega-rich? To be
honest, it's too early to tell yet. What I can tell you is that for the first
time, I am making decent money from any internet marketing product and it's
growing every day.
It's hard to write a review on something you are excited about without sounding
unbiased, but I guess that's because I am biased. Seriously, this product is
unlike any of the "all talk little substance" products I've bought in the past.
It's 50 pages of brand new, detailed, easy to absorb information, rather than
200 pages of regurgitated fat that's been thrown around for the past two years.
If you give Project X a serious go and follow the steps it does work. I've made
a commitment to give the Affiliate Project X methods a real go, instead of
throwing it in my dusty, bulging "affiliate and internet marketing ideas" file.
If the time comes when I can put a photo of my cheesy mansion and ostentatious
yacht on my website, you'll be the first to know!
In the meantime, if you are looking to get into affiliate and internet
marketing, or increase your affiliate sales, I can't recommend the Affiliate
Project X product highly enough.
I hope this helps relieve some of the frustrations of my fellow affiliate and
internet marketing wannabes.
