How To Use An Automatic Email Responder For Profit by Jason

How can you use an Automatic Email Responder for Profit?
The most popular use of an autoresponder is the Ezine or Newsletter. Millions
of websites offer some sort of newsletter to maximize the profitability of
their efforts.
Take a look back at why you built a website in the first place. To make money,
right? Well, most people won't buy anything when they first visit your site.
You probably are spending a lot of time and money to drive traffic to your
website. So, should you let them just leave without getting something out of
the deal? No, of course not. You should at least make an effort to capture
their name and email address, to follow up with your visitors.
By simply placing an opt-in form on your site, you drastically increase your
odds of converting that visitor into a paying customer. It gives you the
ability to stay in contact with them and build trust in that person.
It is often stated that it takes about 7 or 8 impressions for a potential
customer to even click on your ad. It will also take some time for many people
to part with their hard-earned money. This is why you must work for the chance
to prove you have the solution this person needs.
Even if you do not have what they need right now, you are still letting them
know "Hey, I'm still here, available to help you when you need me". You may
also use the newsletter to inform them of new products you have to offer. New
solutions to other issues that they may have.
When choosing an autoresponder, don't believe they are all the same. Each may
have something different to offer. You can purchase some autoresponders for a
one time fee. These would normally require much more maintenance on your part.
Another drawback is when you have a large list, it might take hours for all of
your messages to be sent. You could even experience problems where your list
gets cut off, and only half of your subscribers will get the email.
Other providers offer services to help manage your list, automatically delete
bounced email accounts, and ensure your entire list receives your emails. This
will also free up a lot of your time, which would be much better spent doing
what you do best, selling.
Two of the largest autoresponder services are GetResponse and my favorite,
AWeber. You can check these out at
http://gre.getresponse.com and
http://ars.aweber.com
.
I would highly recommend using one of the two. Remember, you are running a
business, and it should be treated as such. Make your decisions wisely.
The best part of autoresponder follow-ups and newsletters is the high Return on
Investment (ROI) these are capable of producing. Managing your own newsletter
costs very little time and money. It allows you to take advantage of Targeted
marketing, as well as Viral marketing.
It becomes targeted marketing instantly, as this person was interested enough
to take the next step and join your mailing list. This makes them a much better
target for your advertising and sales efforts.
It would become viral marketing when your messages are passed along to their
friends and family, who in turn pass them along to someone else, and so on. Of
course, you should have your links included within the message and in your sig
file (signature area), so everyone who receives the message can find your site,
and join your list.
Building your mailing list, and maintaining a simple newsletter, could very
well be one of your most Effective and Profitable marketing campaigns.
